Britel Fund Trustees are planning a three storey rooftop extension at Wimbledon Bridge House in order to increase the size and availability of much needed grade A office space in Wimbledon.

This development fits with the vision of Wimbledon as a major centre for business in South West London in the years to come. The draft Wimbledon masterplan envisages high quality development focused around the train station and town centre.

There is currently a shortage of grade A office space in Wimbledon. Three further storeys at Wimbledon Bridge House will help with the economic development of the area by bringing new office workers in who will in turn spend money in the shops and restaurants in Wimbledon.

The scheme will create up to 50 jobs in the construction phase and it is envisaged up to 100 new jobs for office workers.

The changes to the building design will also enhance the area.
